Lake Limerick located just minutes from from the City of Shelton is surrounded by beautiful timberland properties which will likely never become developed land .Currently the forestland tracts are county zoned R20 which mean you can not build more than one home per 20 acres .So what I found out and have accomplished is to have 20-40 acre tracts which the county will allow the owner to remove as little as one acre from forestland status in order to place a residence on the tract to be tax at a normal rate while leaving the rest of your forestland in a low cost tax amount.Everyone is happy about this option for the landowner. The county, because they receive a full tax fee for a residence .The timber companies because they have future trees to harvest.And of course the home owner because you have a beautiful home situated on what is a tree plantation with a low taxation rate.{which the county also receives}
